如果模型包含更復雜的幾何、需要使用Fluent Meshing創建網格或者需要考慮冷凝等物理現象，而Icepak并不能滿足需求時，就可以使用Fluent讀入Icepack的文件和信息，包括ECAD的Trace、層、金屬百分比來計算PCB的各向異性導熱系數，Fluent會自動創建施加于PCB的固體材料，也可以讀入功率map分布。

常見的CFD軟件都能對電池進行熱仿真，比如：Star-ccm+，Fluent，Icepack, FloEFD，FloTHERM和TAItherm等等。雖然這些軟件仿真流程都相似，但也有各自的特點，有的所有流程都在一個界面下搞定，比如CD-adapco的Star-ccm+（現已被西門子收購），也有幾個軟件相互配合，發揮各自優勢的，比如ANSYS Fluent。
