世界計(jì)算力學(xué)大會(huì)每兩年舉辦一屆,每屆輪換在美洲、歐洲和亞洲的城市召開。大會(huì)旨在促進(jìn)世界計(jì)算力學(xué)各相關(guān)領(lǐng)域?qū)<液蛯W(xué)者交換新思想和信息,推動(dòng)計(jì)算力學(xué)及工程應(yīng)用的相關(guān)研究、應(yīng)用和教育發(fā)展。

第十三屆世界計(jì)算力學(xué)大會(huì)(WCCM XIII)暨第二屆泛美應(yīng)用力學(xué)大會(huì)(PANACM II)于2018年7月22日至27日在美國紐約?曼哈頓?時(shí)代廣場?馬奎斯萬豪酒店成功召開。本次會(huì)議由國際計(jì)算力學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)主辦,美國計(jì)算力學(xué)協(xié)會(huì),美國哥倫比亞大學(xué)和美國德州大學(xué)奧斯丁分校聯(lián)合承辦。到目前為止,第十三屆世界計(jì)算力學(xué)大會(huì)已經(jīng)成為在美召開的最大型的計(jì)算力學(xué)領(lǐng)域?qū)W術(shù)盛會(huì),大會(huì)收到了3500份摘要和將近3000人參會(huì)。

首日大會(huì)主報(bào)告邀請到2013年諾貝爾化學(xué)獎(jiǎng)獲得者、斯坦福大學(xué)Michael Levitt教授作關(guān)于“復(fù)雜化學(xué)系統(tǒng)的多尺度模型發(fā)展”的報(bào)告,偌大的會(huì)場座無虛席。

再來說說近場動(dòng)力學(xué)短期課程和各個(gè)分會(huì)的情況:

本次大會(huì)中近場動(dòng)力學(xué)(Peridynamics, PD)短期課程和相關(guān)的三個(gè)分會(huì)吸引了眾多學(xué)者的廣泛關(guān)注。本次大會(huì)歷時(shí)五天,近場動(dòng)力學(xué)相關(guān)的分會(huì)就持續(xù)召開了將近四天,再加上其他分會(huì)中包含的幾個(gè)相關(guān)近場動(dòng)力學(xué)的報(bào)告,大會(huì)共有45場近場動(dòng)力學(xué)的口頭報(bào)告,可見近場動(dòng)力學(xué)理論及其應(yīng)用研究已經(jīng)成為本次大會(huì)中較為活躍的主題之一。

近場動(dòng)力學(xué)的短課程由美國德州大學(xué)奧斯汀分校的John Foster教授、桑迪亞國家實(shí)驗(yàn)室的David Littlewood博士和橡樹嶺國家實(shí)驗(yàn)室的Pablo Seleson博士共同開設(shè),講解近場動(dòng)力學(xué)基礎(chǔ)知識和程序設(shè)計(jì)內(nèi)容。

相關(guān)近場動(dòng)力學(xué)理論三個(gè)主要分會(huì)包括:

MS315 Peridynamic Theory and Multiscale Methods for Complex Material Behavior(復(fù)雜材料行為的近場動(dòng)力學(xué)理論和多尺度方法);

MS304 Peridynamics and Its Applications (近場動(dòng)力學(xué)及其應(yīng)用);

MS808 Local-Nonlocal Coupling Methods for Nonlocal Models(相關(guān)非局部模型的局部-非局部耦合方法)

與會(huì)學(xué)者針對近場動(dòng)力學(xué)理論、模型、方法及應(yīng)用的相關(guān)問題展開了報(bào)告與討論,如:

  • 近場動(dòng)力學(xué)介質(zhì)的波傳播問題;

  • 近場動(dòng)力學(xué)的局部邊界條件研究;

  • 近場動(dòng)力學(xué)與連續(xù)介質(zhì)力學(xué)的耦合方法;

  • 近場動(dòng)力學(xué)的多尺度耦合框架;

  • 延性或脆性材料斷裂的近場動(dòng)力學(xué)模擬;

  • 近場動(dòng)力學(xué)與分子動(dòng)力學(xué)的耦合建模;

  • 近場動(dòng)力學(xué)在混凝土結(jié)構(gòu)等工程問題中的應(yīng)用等

與會(huì)專家學(xué)者一致認(rèn)為,作為一種全新的理論,近場動(dòng)力學(xué)在理論、模型、方法、應(yīng)用等各個(gè)方面還有大量相關(guān)問題需要深入研究,積極開展深入的專門研討和學(xué)術(shù)交流非常重要。本次大會(huì)對進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)近場動(dòng)力學(xué)相關(guān)研究領(lǐng)域的國際交流與合作,推動(dòng)近場動(dòng)力學(xué)方法的發(fā)展、拓展近場動(dòng)力學(xué)的影響,起到了非常積極的作用!
