Contact stress (cstress) or one or more of its components is output to the (.dat) file in this step. In this case, contact constraint stress values are directly reported at the associated primary slave nodes. This output may differ from what is written to the output database since nodal values reported to the output database are processed further from constraint values for improved accuracy. It is generally recommended for users to rely on output in the output data base not only for improved accuracy but also for ease of visualization and output availability on both master and slave surfaces.
